Happy Birthday Mom!!

Before I go to bed tonight, I wanted to post one more post. Today's is my mom's birthday. I wanted to take this time to tell my mom how much I love her. She has always been such a big support to me. She is a very talented lady. (Just ask to look at my wedding dress, she made it herself. Including the pattern.) She is so kind and giving. I don't know how many people who would open their home to teenagers after finally becoming empty nesters. She is a terrific grandmother. My girls adore her. And she is my role model. I wish I could be as Christ-like and giving as she is. I know this is an old picture but it is a good one of her and my girls. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

David's Birthday

David's turned 36 this year. His birthday date was kind of cool. It was 10-10-10. It was a quiet birthday this year. We invited Jenny, Shane, and Aurora over for dinner and the party. Since David really is not a fan of cake, we had an ice cream cake. David got a lot of clothes from the girls and I. I think his favorite gifts by far was the small basketball hoop that hangs over a door from his parents and then a calendar from the girls and I that has a basketball hoop attached. The girls were really into David's birthday this year. They decorated the mirror for the party. And Naomi wrote a birthday list of what we needed to buy/do to celebrate David's birthday. It was very cute to see the girls get so excited for their Dad's special day. Here are just two of the pictures from that day.

Happy Birthday Grandma

Before David's parents left to go back to Arizona, we had a surprise birthday party for his mom. We usually never get to celebrate her birthday with her because of the distance. So it was quite nice to have a small birthday celebration with her before she left. It was not her actual birthday but it was very close. PS: We had a limited supply of birthday candles and decided to make Grandma 8 years old for her party. Hee Hee

Naomi is 6!!!

Every New Years marks a special day for our family. Not only is it a start of a New Year but it is Naomi's birthday. This year Naomi got to open her presents in three waves. We allowed her to open one of her presents at midnight. (She had been dying to open her present from her Grandma and Grandpa Brown.) We were planning on having her actual birthday after dinner that night however Kaylee fell asleep on the way home from dinner. So to appease Naomi, we allowed her to open some of her small gifts. Then on the 2nd, we had her family birthday party with cookie cake. She was able to open the rest of her presents including two gifts that arrived from Utah that day. I had been looking for a special Fancy Nancy doll for Naomi for her birthday but they were all sold out here in Houston. So I asked my parents while they were in Utah if they could see if they could find one there. And I was in luck they found one and it arrived on the 2nd along with their gift. Thanks for getting it for me Mom and Dad. Naomi loved all of her presents. Her favorites are the Littlest Pet Shop Day Care and her Fancy Nancy doll and outfits. Here is just a few pictures from the actual birthday celebration.

Happy Birthday Naomi

A new year and another year older. It is pretty special to have your birthday start the new year. Naomi turned 5 on the 1st. She had an enjoyable birthday. It started out by shooting off fireworks on New Year's eve and then when we toasted the new year we all wished Naomi a happy birthday. During the day we went to her favorite restaurant (and David's) Chuck E Cheese to celebrate. Her theme was Tinkerbell this year. She received some really great presents and loved all of them. So did Kaylee who tried to help unwrap all of them.

My Birthday

Another year and another year older. Thanks to my family for making it special. My parents were great. It was hard but they got a birthday cake that was not Christmas themed. My choices were Tinkerbell and Winnie the Pooh. I opted for Tinkerbell.
